MODEL 1085, GehI's most popular size forage harvester, is designed for use with tractors up to 225 PTO horsepower. The 21-inch wide cutting cylinder features eight tungsten carbide-faced knives. Auto-MAX load management system and Metal-Stop metal detector are available to increase harvesting capacity and prevent stray ferrous metal from damaging your harvester and your livestock. To maximize nutrient value of chopped corn, the 1085 can be equipped with Gehl's CP1005 Crop Processor unit. This unit is easy to remove for harvesting haylage.


MODEL 1285 is the largest capacity pull-type harvester available today. Designed for tractors up to 300 PTO horsepower; the 1285 features a massive 25-1/2-inch cutting cylinder with eight tungsten carbide-faced knives. Gehl's exclusive Auto-MAX load management system is standard equipment. Auto-MAX can increase capacity by up to 20%. Standardl Metal-Stop metal detector keeps stray ferrous metal out of the cutting cylinder and out of your livestock feed. The 1285 can be equipped with GehI's CP1205 Crop Processor. This unit processes corn silage as it's chopped to maximize nutrient value. The entire unit is easily removable for haylage operations.

Crop Processor Located directly behind the cutterhead cylinder, the Crop Processor features a pair of high-speed grooved rolls that crack kernels, break up the cob and "condition" the stalk material. The rolls can be removed for chopping haylage.
